In his short stay at West Bromwich Albion, Jonny Evans has managed to impress his manager with his attitude.
Evans, who is predominantly a centre half, has not shown hesitation in playing out of position whenever he has been asked to do so.
There have been games where he has had to play in the left because of the injuries and unavailability of the players and he has gleefully accepted that role.
Showering plaudits on him yesterday, Tony Pulis, the man in charge of West Brom, said, “Jonny is a fantastic personality. His career at United was a mixed bag. I thought he was a bit hard done by on certain occasions when he did fairly decently and still found himself out of the team. Hopefully, it’s not the case with him here at Hawthorns and he manages to be a lot more successful.”
“Attitude is vital at this level and Jonny is top class in that regard. He is a manager’s delight. You go to him and hand him any responsibility, he would take it for the sake of the team.”
“He was injured and had not trained properly ahead of the match the previous weekend. Still, I asked him to feature in a position which is not his preferred position and he was ready. That tells you something about the character of the man. He has no egos at all, a wonderful man to work alongside. ”
West Bromwich Albion is no. 13 in the Premier League 2015-16 at this point of time. They have secured 5 wins and 5 draws and have collected a total of 20 points.
They have to play their next match against Bournemouth. That match will kick off at 3 PM British Standard Time at Hawthorns the coming Saturday.
